Purpose of the Role
The Shop Manager sets the tone for the entire Sequel experience, leading and inspiring their team daily to provide an exceptional service and product to every guest. A proven and passionate self-starter, they are responsible for the overall performance, success, and growth of Sequel Coffee Co. Collaborating with the Managing Partner of Roam Peachtree Corners, the Shop Manager will set goals to achieve growth targets, while identifying new opportunities and developing team members. They will provide leadership and coaching to establish and cultivate a thriving team culture that attracts and retains talent. Ultimately, the Shop Manager will ensure that we achieve customer delight and grow the reputation of the Sequel brand in Peachtree Corners and beyond.
Responsibilities
Foster a team culture rooted in care and growth with hospitality at the core of all that we do.
Lead the execution of the Sequel experience across the drive-thru, in-person café, and Roam environments.
Provide daily leadership and inspiration to the team—connecting Sequel’s mission to every cup of coffee served.
Develop team members through consistent coaching and performance feedback.
Create a distinctive and memorable guest experience that sets Sequel apart from competitors.
Establish and track key metrics for revenue growth, team development, and the guest experience.
Organize and implement community events to position Sequel as a community center within Peachtree Corners.
Oversee the execution and growth of Sequel Coffee Cart catering services.
Conduct weekly financial performance reviews to enhance shop efficiency and profitability.
Manage inventory, team scheduling, and routine shop maintenance.
Maintain a collaborative partnership with Roam’s Managing Partner to identify growth opportunities for both Sequel and Roam Peachtree Corners.
Maintain strong relationships and communication with vendors.
Lead team training and onboarding to equip team members with the skills and mindset for both operational excellence and exceptional hospitality.
Preferred Experience
3 to 5 years of barista experience in a professional environment
2 to 3 years in a proven leadership role
